Futurum

Futurum is a 3-phase masterplan proposal for a highly sustainable landmark tower with future densification of smart mixed-use programming.

Uniquely situated between the A2 highway -a major artery into the City of Den Bosch-, and the serene nature reserve ‘de Heinis’, Futurum will form both a beacon and a buffer for responsible development of this highly polarized prime location.

The iconic Emerald landmark tower sits on a retail base with parking from which it transitions via a dining and event space level into a vertical garden for flexible office cultures. The vertical green atria culminate in a terraced roofscape that offers a sky lounge with stunning views of its surroundings and offering serviced apartments for both corporate and hospitality use.

The area’s current monoculture of offices will be infused with a mixture of retail and leisure functions, boosting this prime real-estate location to its fullest potential without increasing its footprint, while being a respectful neighbor to its bio-diverse park to the West.

Serving as a green sound barrier for the natural reserve, the project tries to demonstrate that architecture as a conscious development can be -and must be- a partner in the preservation of nature.
